This take on such a gorgeous song from Mina's 2008 record, A Fondness for Hometown Scars, was filmed in less than a day.

Filmed in glorious 1080p HD quality, Dan took a simple, "sober" approach. These two lifelong friends used this filming as a creative experiment, if you will, to jump-start Dan in his future filming/directing endeavors.

Without further ado, we hope the next four minutes and thirty-two seconds puts you in a peaceful place, as you watch a new video for Silver Candy.

He wrote a little op-ed to encourage Revolver Magazine to include our own Mina Caputo in their feature for 'The Hottest Chicks in Hard Rock!'

We found this to be an amazingly supportive gesture, quite ballsy, but above all, revolutionary!

In this case, I'm going to lend the pen to the photographer.

If you haven't heard, renowned rock (and sometimes model) photographer, Jeremy Saffer, had one Hell of a photo shoot with Mina.  And that's putting it mildly.  An understatement, if you will.  The two are more in sync with each other's worlds than one would know outright. It just goes to show when people use the phrase, "it's a small world," they aren't referring to Walt Disney.

Jeremy wrote a phenomenal essay about the entire project, and we highly encourage you to take the time to read it and allow it to immerse itself thoroughly in your brain.  It's such a powerful piece.  I'm still reelng through it now.  You can also see some examples of the shoot Jeremy and Mina had, and in the end, purchase seriously gorgeous autographed prints.  Jeremy has only a limited run of 14 per photo, so you might want to pick one up asap, because when they're gone, they are gone!

Mina Caputo, formerly known as Keith Caputo, has had a an extensive career within the music industry. While you all know him from his work with legendary New York Metallers LIFE OF AGONY, Caputo is constantly pushing the limits of his successful life as an artist. As we all know, LIFE OF AGONY is not an active band at the moment, and the chances of the band returning to the musical spectrum are very unlikely. But this does not mean that Caputo is done creating awesome music. After seeing Caputo's solo set at Tamanny Hall in New York City, at the one year anniversary of "Hate The Hate", there is no doubt in our minds that there will be plenty more to come from one of the best singer/song writers of our generation.

For those of you who missed the event, you missed a historical night in which all sorts of people came together for a VERY positive cause: stand against hate crimes, bullying and suicide. Additionally, Caputo performed for the first time ever as Mina Caputo! This was obviously the highlight of the night, not only from a humanitarian and musical stand point, but it was also the most authentic way for "Hate The Hate" to spread the word about human equality.

As most of you know, last year, Caputo announced that he was a trans-gender person. After hearing this shocking news, the Heavy Music world immediately went awol and a few close minded LIFE OF AGONY fans and some members of the media, bashed Caputo's decision to "come out'. At that time we immediately asked the public to respect Caputo's decision, since we truly believe that he sent a very strong message to a genre of music that carries way too many stereotypes.

Before Mina Caputo took center stage for the first time in months, we were able to chat with Caputo about the importance of human equality, and of course about the impact of LIFE OF AGONY in Caputo's life. This interview is NOT to be missed, so check it out and spread the word!

For those unaware, the series is a comedy-drama series about three twenty-something housemates trying to live normal lives, despite struggling with unusual afflictions - one is a werewolf, one is a vampire and the other is a ghost.

Proceeds from this event will go to The Trevor Project, The American Foundation of Suicide Prevention, and The Hetrick-Martin Institute.
